Both my 95 325is and my 96 328is had a stock plug for the factory alarm module under the glove box. Neither car had the factory alarm ever installed. I put a Compustar in. Highly recomend on a manual.

Crusin w/ an e46 M3 at 145 on the dial and revs to spare. Saftey with a V1
No factory alarm installed on my 1998 M3 either. Took it to a local shop that had a "1 dollar install" sale going on. They said it would take 3 hours to hook it up-they thought it was prewired. 3 days later, after 14 hours of work they handed me the keys-i think i got a good deal on my dollar install. Muaha
