Last night I turned it off and the lights on the player stayed on while the car was off. I tried turning it back on to fix the problem but it wouldn't turn on or off. Finally I just removed it and put it in my glove compartment. In the morning I put it back in and it turned on and it worked, but the player wouldnt take the CD's, so I took the player out and tried putting it back in but the light error occured again. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or how to fix it?
There must be a fault on the unit,I would take it along to a car audio specialist, I had this on one of my cars, it just would'nt turn off with out disconnection, took it to my audio chap fixed in 30 minutes (resistor) cost 20 sterling so aroundish $15.00

I stepped in a plate of Pasta the other day - now I have to worry about my Carbonara footprint!
I pressed the reset button and its turning on and everything now but my CD's only go in 3/4 of the way and then it says error - 04 and switches back to the tuner. There isnt a CD in already so im baffled.
If you know how to remove it from the dash, unplug the harness for about a minute or better, and reinstall everything. If it still gives you fits, it sounds like its time for the repair man. Good luck...
