New unit and antenna suggestions?

I wondered if anyone has any suggestions about a good head unit to install to replace the original factory unit. I'm driving a 1994 530i wagon, but im looking to upgrade to something that plays mp3s, cds, etc. I also have a question about installing a new antenna. Even though all connections are solid, I get the worst fm reception known to man. I was wondereing if its possible to install a better antenna as well. Thanks.

what kind of antena do you have now? the new stereo may help with the bad reception.

just pay the $2 for the adapter when you get your headunit, and if you dont like the reception, then you might have to get an aftermarket antenna

i haven't been in the market for a HU, but Alpine makes great mp3 HUs with amber illum. I belive Pioneer and/or Panasonic does aswell.
