In anticipation of my XM tuner, I had to build a new box to house it neatly. Its not finished, but when it is, there will be shelves angled in the spot on the right. The bottom will house an Alpine MRVT-420 amp and the top will hold an Alpine XM tuner.

Very nice! Looks like you're using 5/8" MDF? Good thick stuff.
If you wanted to do something easy and cool, you could drop in your sub, amp, and tuner. Then, take another sheet of MDF cut out the sub whole, tuner, and amp then over lay it to create a flush fit for the sub as well as the other components. Just an idea I have used with a similar box. Also the XM box is not that exciting to look at, but I'm all about displaying anything--LOL
Close, its 3/4". I thought about doing it that way with the flush mount, but it seems everyone is doing flush mount now, no one is displaying anything on an angled shelf. I think I may paint the XM tuner to liven it up though. Have to wait and see. After remeasureing everything I'm about 5/16 short of the clearance I'll need for the amp to fit in that space. Nothing is secured in place yet, so I may have to make the sides buldge out some. If not I'll have to do a flush mount.
