New Amp Installation Via Stock Amp

I was told it was possible to hook up a new aftermarket amp to power my subs, using all of the hookups from the stock BMW amp in the trunk without running any wires to the head unit? Is this true? If so, how is this done? Where would you hookup the RCA jacks?

Appreciate help asap as I am waiting to install my new amp and subs

There is a piece you need to get along with your amp install wiring kit. It is called a Line Out Converter. The LOC takes a sample of the signal coming from your factory amp/headunit, and turns the high level signal into a low level RCA signal your aftermarket amplifier can use. They are usually about $20 or so (for a decent one, do me a favor and get a decent one). They will have instructions to install, but if you get stuck lemme know. Hope that helps....
