need help with my speakers

Hi,

I recently bought BMW 1994 325i convertible. The BOSS of the speaker system is horrible. It is not reporduced properly.

Is there any problem with the spakers ? Can you tell me how many speakers does it have, and what each speaker does ?

I have 2 nos of MB Quart DCC 169 speakers from my old car which produces good BOSS. These spakers are of 4 ohm Impedence, with 60 - 140 W rating. Is there anyway to use these speakers in this car ?

Did you mean DTC-169? IF so, these are 6x9" speakers that wouldn't be super easy in an e36 vert. The replacements for rears is a 4" mid 1" tweet in a pod in the rear quaterpanel. Upfront are 5.25" midbass drivers, and this would be no easier a place to use them.

If you want better sound (more BOSS), I would replace your existing speakers (with the same size, but better aftermarket speaker), and add a sub.

I have MB Quart DCC 169 not DTC. And DCC 169 is not a 6x9. I think it is a 6x6 or 5x5. These reproduce boss exceptionally well. Is there anyway to use these speakers ?

please let me know if you cant use them. i have the same speaker in a boat that i need to replace.
