Nakamichi Glove-box Cd Changer E46

I have a 99 323i that has a Nakamichi 6-Disk CD Changer in it. The changer died. (the lights on the font blink red-green-red-green...)

I tried calling the dealer, but he said they don't make them anymore? used ghead Any ideas on where to find one?

Or is there a place I can send it to be repaired?

I checked e-bay, and there was one, but it was pulled from junk yard - no guarantee that it will work...

At this point IMO it's time to go towards aftermarket. If you were to spend money to get some tunes back in your ride, I would spend my money cost effectively, not on oem stuff that isn't guranteed and won't sound better than what you already had. I really don't want to have to change my head unit. I'd like to be able to control it with the existing radio. Unless there are aftermarket changers that can do that, I'd like to find a replacement for what I have... Or repair it

Any thoughts?

Waste your money, and have it repaired by the stealership (they will outsource a local electronics repair center), or buy a new one on ebay.


Keep in mind for similar money, you could purchase an aftermarket deck that would greatly improve your SQ.
