I was planning to replace the bog standard speakers with MB Quart Components in the front http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/products...1&model=DSE+216
and MB Quart Mid bass in the rear http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/products...1&model=PWE+160 .
Now my question is will it be worth me spending that sort of money and still using the BMW Business headunit ? At some point in the future i'll probably put an amp in the car but ideally i'd like to keep the standard headunit !

You will certainly notice the change. You won't be getting as clean of a signal to the speakers as an aftermarket amp, but the stock should do fine until you upgrade.

What about him running into problems from all the seperate signals from the factoryamp? unless the e46s went away from the built in cross overs...
