Lost Radio Code E36

I lost the code does anyone know where i can find it?

Check your owner's manual. It might be either on a card attached to it or just written in.

If you can't find it, take out your radio and call a dealership with the serial number of the radio. Usually they will give you the code for free... some might ask you to bring the radio and will charge you a few bucks... but call a few -- I can almost guarantee that you will get it free.

Also sometimes the code is written on the stereo itself. It was on mine. Pull out the stereo real quick(take about 5 minutes and some allen wrenches) and look on it on the top of it i think. Anyways, if oyu have to go to the dealership torque is right it should be free and i would not pay for it. WRITE DOWN YOUR CODE IN YOUR MANUAL. who knows when it can happen again.

You just start up your car and turn on the radio. It will say CODE you just push in the numbers and voila you ar done. Be sure to do it right the first time otherwise it can go into lockout mode. To get it out of lockout mode is another story but there are a bunch of posts on it here. I am not sure the correct way to do it. I just kept trying my code everytime i drove and after a week or so it all of a sudden worked.
