Jl Audio 10w7 + Jl 500/1 Amp

My best friends boyfriend can hook me up with a JL 10W7 and a JL 500/1 Amp for about 750-800, is that a good price? ive seen both go for about 1K (together)..what do u guys think?

If you have that to spend, and you want loud and obnoxious...go for it. JL's hi-end is made pretty well, and you will have more bass than you know what to do with. A little overkill for me, but if that's what you want, knock it out.

Does the sub come with the grey and red box? If it does, that's a really good deal if not it's still a pretty good deal. I have that same sub in my trunk and I have with only about 250 watts RMS going to it and is so loud I have to turn down the gain on my amp. I can only imagine how loud it would be with that JL amp pushing it. Very good sound, you can always turn it down to your preference but whenever you want a little more bass you can turn it up. Always better to have more ability to get more bass whne you wnat it rather than be limited. The best sub I've ever owned. If you are getting the JL box that comes with it get the measurements because in my e39 540 I had to remove the factory sub housing on the top of the deck to have enough clearance for the box to go all the way to the back of the trunk, its huge. That box could easily fit two subs.
