ipod question...sort of

this is a link to a question i posted in the e46 section. i wasn't sure if all the audio gurus looked in there so i'm puttin in a link here. thanks yall.

As I am sure you are aware, the great new adaptor for use with your iPod in conjunction with BMW cars is only for cars newer than 2000 (just preventing anyone from posting info concerning this new adaptor) and your car seems to be made prior to 2000.

IF you have the business deck or any of the oem decks with CD Changer controls, it can be done. It's not an adaptor that is purchased at your local stereo shop, rather a VERY good audio shop with an experienced installer could probably rewire your changer and turn it into an aux in. This would probably not be cheap, but if you are desperate enough to escape the far lower fidelity of the RF blaster, it might be worth the coinage.
