is the sound quality sucks? i heard people sayin it is no good to conncet ipod with the cigarate charger thing, cuz the sound is no good

no , i use the cigarate chager spot, then conncet with ipod

... you can directly connect it to an aftermarket hu thru an aux input(good sound).... tape player one (okay sound)...fm transmittor (tends to be shitty in my area...

I don't have an ipod so I can't respond to any of that. BUT... have you LOOKED at the cost of having them hooking it up? Isn't it like 300? i have a mini disk and a stock cassette deck that I just got an adaptor for. THe sound is fine. I would recommend against the ipod thing. My two pennies.

I have no idea what your talking about but as you mentioned Ipod into a BMW i will tell you you about my ipod in my e-46.

First thing is, if you want to put an ipod into a BMW forget the FM transmitters, they are crap, i have found the best way to to intergrate the ipod fully is to get an ice link plus kit made by dension visit there website www.dension.com or your local BMW dealer.
This kit replaces your multi changer completely, once installed you can control the ipod by your strereo and multi function steering wheel and the sound quality is superb, i find it better quality that the standard BMW multi changer and it charges the ipod while you are moving, meaning you dont have any nasty looking cables on show and you can still use the cigerette lighter.
I have my I pod connected to my BMW SAT/NAV professional system with TV tuner, With Alpine 5 channel amp running infinity referance front doors and rear shelf with a 12" sub in the boot. the sound is crisp,clean and punchy the way it should be. The ice link kit only took me 20 mins to install and there are no wires showing, and i'm no professional installer. I hope this helps.

bro, buy that thing that u can wirelessly connect to the stereo... u just have to have the ipod close to the radio, and have the station at a particular station!

I just installed an Alpine CD player. The Alpine unit was $199 from Crutchfield. There is a $99 iPod Alpine connector deal that you can use. Check out Crutchfield for details. It's the way i am going to go....

i have the neo ipod adaptor. it rocks! just great great sound!! fm transmitters are absolute rubbish, had one of those, and hated it! why do they even make those? anyway, love my neo adaptor, can't go wrong!
