Infinity Basslink Installation

Hey guys, I own a '96 328i and I recently bought the infinity Basslink. I was just curious as to how I would install it on my 3-series and if any of you have actually installed this product yourself. Im not too sure if I will need a new amp or not, any help that you can give me would be great. Thanks.

From BavAuto catalogue:

1) Access your factory amp (some one else needs to tell where that is cuz I have no clue)
2) Unplug factory wiring harness, connect it to the Infinity Basslink harness, and plug harness into factory amp
3) Mount Basslink chasis in location of your choice
4) Turn on, turn up, and rattle your brains (I added that part)

the amp should be behind the carpet on driver side wall of the trunk.
