i can has bass?

yes i can has bass!

got my sub put in today, the 8'' cvt was a joke so i went with an 8'' 4ohm dual voice coil kicker cvr

it thumps hard, they did a pretty good job with the lid and sealing, well sort of with the sealing, theres still a few air leaks i have to take car of and figure out where a bunch of rattles are coming from, i think most are from the original grill , it sounds nice and bumps hard when i take it off, but looks like shit, gonna need more dynamat

also, the guy put in a bit of polyfill, he said it could use some more but he was out, so i went to walmart and picked up a big ass bag for 3 bucks, too hot outside to really mess with it, but i threw in some more and it helped ALOT, gonna take off the sub tonight and try and seal up some of those air leaks and throw in some more polyfill

da bull, here is how the guy set up my sub

is that a good setup? or should i change it?

If its that one, you are fine. With the way the speakers are wired, you are getting maximum power out of the amp. They are wired in parallel. Since they are dual 4 ohm, parallel wiring makes it a 2 ohm woofer and according to the specs, thats full power.

thanks da_bull, the sub was thumping hard but sounding too messy, at first i thought it was the grill, and it was, its a 2 piece design as was rattling against each other, but even after that i still got a weird bass, so i started messing around with the grill hole and the poly fill, i did something close to porting the subwoofer....and my god did it make a hell of a difference! ill post pictures later tonight, da_bull see if u cab explain what the hell i did and y it made such a big difference later when i post pics
