how to remove 2002 325ti compact business head unit
i've got quite an expensive jvc head unit that i had in my old car and want to put in my new bmw.... just doesnt seem to be straight forward how to get the standard business head unit out.... anybody know how?
thanks
As far as radio installs in BMW's go yours is pretty straight foward. You need to remove the woodgrain trim from the dash starting at the passenger side. This part is just pressure clipped in. Once that is off ( 2 pieces ) you need to remove the two Phillips screws that hold the radio in.
The new radio cage will mount right into the dash and the the kit will go over the radio and screw in. You will need to wire and mount the radio before you screw in the dash kit. That is the tricky part. It' tight but you can deffinatly do it. There are parts to retain the steering wheel controls and a wire haness and antenna adapter you will need ( the steering wheel controls are optional and as I recall you need to run the wire to the steering column. ) if you get stuck or need help don't hesitate to ask
