How to change LW/MW to just AM???

Ever since I plugged in a Soundgate AUXBMW V2 port interface to my CD changer line, the stereo has only offered MW and LW instead of AM. How do I change it back to AM? (unplugging the port interface does not solve the problem)

Not sure what kind of car you have so just guessing here. Have your tried removing the interface and also unplugging the radio from its harness, possibly resetting back to normal. Not sure why it displays that, I would give Soundgate a call. They have been around forever it seems, and I am sure theyve run across this before. Hope that helps...

On a side note, make sure you know what your code is for your radio before hand. Depending on what radio you have, the antitheft may be active and when you disconnect power from the radio, you will have to know your code before the radio will turn back on.

It is an E46 with the "Business Radio" (not the HK upgrade)

I found the solution at e46fanatics.com:

1. Turn Radio Off.
2. Turn Radio On.
3. Press and hold the "m" button for about 10 seconds.
4. Press - or + to navigate until you see "Euro"
5. Press > to change it to "USA".
6. Turn radio off to exit.
