Help Picking A Deck

I have a couple choices, all great deals, which should I get. Please only answer if you know what you're talking about.

Kenwood KDC MP925 - $350
Eclipse CD8454 - $300
Sony MEX5DI(1?) - $350

honestly if i were to choose one of that group id go with kenwood, ive not ever had a probem with their products. they arent the best but they are stable and still very competitive..

I personally like the look of the Sony better. I've never had a kenwood, but heard nothing but good reviews... yet the sony just looks....sleak... in my opinion compared to the others.

I bought the kenwood, I also got the sirius tuner and antenna so I will now have satellite radio, cool!

The sony was damn nice and the price was so amazing, its regular about a grand. But the guy told me the kenwood is probably better, just that the sony allows for you to use a picture or movie for the faceplate image.

I'd have gone with the eclipse.

Good job on the sat radio though. Its an amazing difference.

I heard good and bad about the Eclipse, both guys I talked to said they are one of the best for quality but one of them said the company is horrible if you have any problems with the product, plus adding the sat radio would have cost a lot more.

Either way I'm happy with what I got, no regrets! I am going out to do the install right now, I'll post pics when I'm done.

never heard of any problems with eclipse. Their service is great. If the radio is stolen, and you registered it, and someone calls to get the code and gives them the wrong registration info, they call the4 police for you to report it stolen.

kenwoods are really reliable. I have an older one that rotates arround so it looks flush with the dash. The moter inside still runs great and most kenwoods look nice. Take a look at some alpine head units, they are really nice but expensive. Late

Sorry I didn't see this earlier there Cam, I've been busy trying to educate fools in other areas of the forums-LOL.

Good choice, I would have recomended the Kewood. I do like other models better, but only because some of the others have the ability to match the BMW oem illumination. The DOT Matrix display on the HU you got does look great though. You'll love Sirius, I do. What do you listen to, I can make some good stream recomendations. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions regarding your new deck.

The Sony is a good looking deck and they are functional, but comparitively speaking, that's about it. Sony just doesn't make decks that sound as good as most of the other manufacturers. IMO, that's by far the most important aspect of a Head Unit.

I couldn't tell you a lot about Eclipse, but what I've read and been told by friends that have owned them. At one time, they were very skip prone, especially if you had a pair of subs in your trunk.
