Help! e36 Cd Changer Keeps Saying Error!

Hey, i have a 94 318is...
my factory bmw cd changer, all of a sudden keeps saying "ERR"
took out all the cd's from my cd cartridge... but one of them is missing...
one is still in the cd changer, i can see it in there, but i cant get it out,
why would this happen, does anyone know how to fix it!

i realize this dosent sound like a emergency, unlike peoples cars not starting...
but be able to play cd's is very important to me!

Hmm..sorry about yr situation but I seen it before...my buddies cd turned up stuck to the top of the changer..it got hung up somehow....just take the outer plastic off and look...I wouldnt try too take it completely apart because of itty bitty spings and such..but its got to be in there....

Hmm..Oh yea..he got it out by straightening out a paper clip and making a hook...

unplug it and plug it back in. 90% of the time that will fix it.

If not, remove the mag and empty it, then unplug and plug in, then put in empty mag, then eject and load mag. Fixes 8% of the time when the other 90% doesn't.

The only reason to remove the cover is when a CD is lodged between the player and the mag. Your case might fall under the 2% chance you have to open it up, and you can manuall rotate the gears to slide it back into mag if the above methods don;t work.
