see i don't want to add a bunch of aftermarket sound stuff because i don't want to way down my car and frankly i don't like how they look, this system however looks very clean and the subwoofers aren't huge, and i really like how they are mounted, would you guys recommend something like this, i really like to listen to my music, and it's just pitiful that my mom chevy has a better sound system, would you guys recommend this and are there any other products like this, sorry if this has already been posted but i don't hang around the audio and electronic section of the forum considering i have very little knowledge of car audio, thanks in advance

i like the thought of kind of hiding the subs but the price IMO is way too expensive i think you might as well try to build your own system very similar to it and figure out how to mount it..i think that would be cheaper

Yeah, that's almost a good idea, but not quite.

First, mounting subs in that location would certainly require removing the rear parcel shelf and doing a significant amount of sound reinforcing, as that set up would make your rear deck rattle like hell.

Second, that's a complete rip off. You could buy much better components, have it custom finished in your matching trunk carpet, and have it professinally installed for less than $1500. Geesh, the nerve of some people to charge so much.

My set up for instance works well. I have a single 8" sub that takes up little to no trunk space [it's opposite my battery and takes up about as much space as the plastic battery cover on the other side]. It's Kicker's top of the line sub, Alpine's best line of amp, it's covered in matching trunk carpet, and it cost much less than $1000.
