I decided that I will cut my losses and sell my paintball gear for an XM tuner and antenna. Should happen in the next few weeks. Also, if anyone knows of a cheap place to buy an Alpine TUA-T020XM tuner that'd be good.

my luck may be on the upswing. I found a guy who was willing to pay 550 for this one gun with the same body milling as mine but on an older model. If I can sell him mine for that price I'd be golden.

I seriously listen a little of everything. I enjoy some techno, but mostly rock, rap, and jazz. Classics are also good, as is the 80s flair. Talk radio rounds out my listening choices.
My cars fm sucks and all the stations here suck worse, so XM is gonna be the way to go. Better yet, i found out the guy lives in the city in CT i used to, so I'm just going to pick it up from him when im in town next month.

You are so gonna dig XM. You may have heard and played with it before, but having it in your car on demmand....you will love it. My music tastes lie within "anything that doesnt suck" so i rarely have any troulble finding something good.
XM has all you describe, some good techno (more like trance and hip hop), awesome rock stations (plural), old school rap and newer "good" hip hop, and there is a more modern jazz station (David Sanbourn, Karl Denson, etc) that i dig. I also listen to the Reggae station quite a bit. And oh,yeah the 80's station when need be
Originally posted by jllphan@May 13 2004, 01:16 AM Hey pres, what do you listen to? I have Sirius in my car, but I listen to XM all day at work, I can you sum station #'s to listen to.
I like sirius but that is merely because of channel 17.
For each of you to decide, it would require you to go to each website (sirius and XM) and look at the channel line up. Both are similar, but you may find one you like more.
XM is cheaper (per month) and sirius sounds a little better (a very little bit). Both are great, and if you dont have it, go buy one tommorow!
