Front kick pannel speaker

I have MB quart 5.25'' woofers from a component set sitting around and I was wondering if the speakers in the kick pannels are strictly woofers or not. I was thinking they were because the tweeters are in the door pannels.


Also what Ohm are the factory speakers rated to?

Unfortunately, they are. The 5.25 is good for the midrange, but leaves a lot to be desired in the low end.

Kicker has some 2" mounting depth 8"s they just came out with. I wonder if they could be crammed in?

how much mounting depth is there in the space wear the 5 1/4 is? Obviously, an 8 can't sit wear a five is without any mods. I was just wondering if there was enough depth to put it in. If there is, I'll just fiberglass a mounting plate.

i don't know the exact mounting depth, but 2.5 is around the max.
