E46 M3 Audio/video Ipod Like Device

Hello,

I would like a hard-drive based mp3 player for my new M3, ipod is a great choice that has wheel control (the most critical feature for me). Is there any other player that is capable of playing video (with a video out) on to my TV at home and has wheel control support for the car ?

BMW is ahead of the curve with the fact that they support iPod interfaces, you should feel lucky to have that

Thanks, but actually I don't feel so lucky and BMW is not so ahead of the curve because the same capabilities are supported by a third party solution, icelink ...

Aftermarket ALWAYS leads oem, that's not what I'm talking about

To my knowledge: Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota, Mercedes, and several other automakers do not offer such compatibilities with icelink products. Only a handful of car manufacturers allow the dension adaptors to work [BMW, VW, Audi].
