E46 Harmon Kardon Upgrade Problems

Hi everybody.
This is my first post, I have recently bought a 2000 323 ci and I'm over the moon with it apart from the stereo. I have the opportunity to buy a complete HK speaker/amp upgrade. Does anyone know if this is compatible with my standard head unit? Are there pre-outs for the HK amps on the existing head unit? Does the sub-woofer amp connect to the head unit, or an output on the other HK amp?

The existing system is just the business radio/6 disc changer with the rear shelf speakers and front door 'woofers' and tweeters.
The upgrade consists of HK amp with 6 speakers, and the double subs with small amp attached.

Is there such a thing as a wiring diagram for the HK upgrade?

I have searched the forum and couldn't find the relevant info, I would very much appreciate any information on any of the above questions!
Many thanks in advance
James

Thanks _bull

I wonder if I would get more luck posting this in the 'E46 3 Series' section of the forum?

It cant hurt to try, there are a lot of peoples that go there that might have the answer that dont necessarily come in here.
