E46 BMW HU swap tape for CD....

Hi all,

I am living in England, but hope all you guys over there can help me...??

I have just bought a 2003 318 convertible with a cassette tape HU, and want to swap it with the CD HU from my 2001 330D before I sell it. This all seems pretty straight forward, but I cannot figure out how I get each unit out....do I have to remove the dash??

Will swapping the units cause me any problems?? Both are wired up to the computer and steering wheel (as you would expect) so can't really see a problem, but someone MUST have tried this....does it work OK??
