I have an E39 with BMW Business radio and cassette unit but would really like to plug in an MP3 player. Does anyone know if there any inputs hidden anywhere and if so how do I get to them? There is a an empty space in the boot/trunk where a cd changer should go, would there be a plug there?
Thank you.

In that space in the boot there should be a 6cd changer, looks like someone has taken yours!

There is a plug there are your can buy an MP3 cd changer and plug it in the boot or you can take out the stock head unit and put an MP3 one there.
