E36 Rear Deck Speaker Install--need Help

I have a '94 318is--I want to replace my rear deck speakers as one of them has blown. I removed the grills, but the opening is too small for me to lift the old speakers out and put new ones in--after removing the grills what is the next step--do I need to remove or unscrew anything else that will enable me to remove the old speakers?

There are two screws and a clip holding the speaker boxs in. Access them from inside the car, under the grill. You have to move the foam to see the screws. Then from within the trunk slide the boxes out.
