E36 CD Changer Mount bolt spacing question.

Does any one know if there is a difference between the cd changer for the convertable as far as the spacing for the bolts/screw used to secure the mount to the changer? I got a changer and mounting braket from a convertable and I am wondering if I can just get a sedan mounting bracket and bolt it on with no problem.

I think there is, but I'm not sure. Part of me remembers seeing the changer in the vert mounted in a different spot. I'll look around. It should fit no prob if the location is the same. I could tell if you posted a pic too.

I know that the convertable cd changer is mounted veritcally. What I wanna know is can I take the convertable mount off and bolt a sedan mount on with out any probelms, ie do the holes line up for the mount to be mounted to the cd changer.

its most likely the same changer with a diffrent mount. so yes it should work...

dont forget to adjust the changer for horizontal mount...

nevermind, I though you wanted to know if the changer mount would work. I really need to quit reading the boards so late.

The changer itself should work fine.

how would you do that? Its just sitting back there right now in a horizontal position and it plays just fine....

there are pannels on the sides that pop off with a little pin looking thing that can be moved 90 degees for the type of mount it is in.

my old one had it and so does my new one.
