hey guys, seeing how lcd flip outs are a ton of money, i was wondering if i can get rid or move the obc and add a LCD monitor in the highlighted area. Can it be done? Let me know soon thanks!
Image courtasey of El Prez, sorry el prez, i used ur car as a example, hope u dont mind
i dont know about the costs, i imagine the LCD is less expensive being as how your only buying the screen instead of the whole HU w/ the LCD. but installation (unless you do it yourself somehow) might get costly, and i have no idea how to wire it all up and how much that would cost. i bet it could be less. and i dunno what you could do wiht the OBD. maybe put it in the glove box?
I've seen one guy remove the OBC.. and put that in the glove compartment... he did have to do a little cutting here and there.. but other than that.. I think it fit rather nicely...

i agree with this, i think that that area has a little bit of an inverted slope to it so you'd have to build the sides out so that the screen could face a decent upwards angle. unless you are very good at installing stuff like this, or know someone who is that will work for cheap or free, id say just go with a flip up screen.
