cd player....skipping - BMW Forum

I have a 6 changer cd player in the trunk of my car, whenever I hit any bump, no matter what size, it skips. Is there anything I can do to help avoid this besdies driving around bumps.

take it out and make sure the supports are even. The laser platform is surrounded by springs and its height is adjustable. If one side is set lower than the other that might be it. If not, buy mine. It works fine but I dont need it anymore.

here's a dumb question but an often overlooked one. Have you checked the mounting position selector? There should be a switch on at least one if not both sides (and sometimes back) that you set to either mount the changer vertically or horizontally. If it's set one way and mounted the other, it will skip like crazy.
