business cd problem

hey help: called the dealer to get my code for my cd player after I replaced the battery; they gave me the wrong code; when I entered the code the player went to "code wait". Went to dealer to have them settle the problem; the tech came out and messed with the unit and could not find the serial number;I had to stop him from messing anytmore with the cd because he gouged the little panels tha hid the removal screws and scratched my woodgrain when his tool slipped; the jerk just said sorry it was an accident; well don't want him messing with my car; need help; How do the hidden functions wwork on the business cd; need to access serial number and get rid of code wait so dealer cann give me the code; help; thanks

Try a differant BMW Dealer, i would make them pay for the woodgrain... call BMW north america for the code

In my past two Bimmers, I was always able to locate my lock code in my owners manual (trapper keeper thingy, lol) In one of the business card slots, there should be your radio code.

the serial is printed on the deck, the dealer can use the dealer system to input the serial # and retrieve the code. I would call the service manger of the dealer and complain that the tech scratched your car and also that you want another tech or the shop foreman to retrieve the serial # for you and run it, and while he's there he can replace the scratched trim for free!
