Hey guys,

Im having an issue where everyonce in a while my brake light circuit will come on and when it does after that my amp wont turn on. I took my car in to a shop to have all the wiring done and they split the turn on lead from the Internal BMW amplifier.

Is this cuasing my issues? Also, why would the brake light circuit control power to my amp?

After this happened i hooked the amp up in my brothers truck and it worked like a charm.

most likely unrelated.

but the brake light circuit is an easy fix. 20 min tops. break old switch out put new one in. hookup put dash back together.

when having speakers and all wired, the factory amp should be bypassed completely. if they spliced or used wires that are still connected to the factory amp on your new one, it might have something to do with it; i only say that because only after the brake circut fails that the amp won't turn on.
