BMW Speaker sizes

I've got a '98 328i Convertible, and im wanting to know what size the speakers are in it - its got two in the front doors and two in the rear side panels, and i believe its also got some in the front kick panel.

should be a 1inch tweeter and 3.5 in the doors and 5.25 in the kick pannel

trunks are a tweeter and 4inch nokia unless you have the HK system.

Not for the vert, unless I missed it. My experience (94 vert) was that the rear side panels had 4 inch drivers and 1 inch tweeters. Info same as for other E36s, the two speakers in each door as well as the 5.25s in the kick panel.

FYI - I had heard 5.25 inch MB Quarts would fit the rear side panels. My installer told me the 5.25 Infinity References would not fit so I used the 4s. Small piece of advice - don't bother with the separates in the door (junk). I left mine there, put two way 5.25s in the kick panels, two way 4s in the rear side panels, Infinity basslink in trunk, Alpine 4 channel x 40 RMS amp in trunk. The best thing, with the stock cassette head units (plentiful and cheap on ebay), system looks completely stock - good for vert owners with new tops!
