Own a 97 528 e39. I have seen seen some threads on other boards regarding these particular radios FM tunning in and out. My radio does the same thing... so.. its time for a new one.. I was wodering if the 02 models radio would fit mine?

Or does anyone have one for sale, link's of where I could buy a new one...

here is an image of an 02.

I'm planning to change my BMW radio as well when I get money. In general the BMW audio systems seems to suck bigtime. They are also ugly and boring. I suggest you buy other brands. It might not fit with the panel but the sound is in general much better. You can try to create or buy some frame to make it fit. Or you can stack a radio and a DPS or equalizere to fill the gap.

it just wouldn't match though...

I spoke with someone on roadfly.. I guess after 97, the changed the plugs on the back of the units... So if I am going to upgrade... Major re-wiring will be in order.
