bmw cd changer instllation question

i am trying to install a "bmw cd changer A" (6 cd) into my 318ci year 2000.

I have stripped the left boot panel and found the cables but they do not fit my changer which has a large white connection and round black connection.

The car which is pre wired has two small black square connections.

Can anyone help?

sounds like you have the wrong changer. where did you buy this one?

i bought it off a friend.

is there anyway in which i can check if it is the right model or can i get an adaptor. are there pictures of the different connections anywhere or good installation instructions which i can compare my player to, and identify it?

I'm relatively sure the proper Changer for that car would be part #82-11-1-469-404. Cross-reference this with the one you have...
