| Hi,
I'm trying to figure out the best way to attach my iPod to my BMW. Currently, I'm using a cassette adapter, which is a bit clunky. I'd like to simply plug my iPod into a dock or similar connector and have it play through the stereo.
I have found a variety of auxiliary input connectors that run through the factory CD changer interface. My car has a CD changer in the trunk and I'd like to keep it. I was thinking of possibly installing a switch which would allow me to pick either the CD changer or the AUX input. Imagine a switch taking as input two CD-changer cables, one coming from the factory CD changer and the other from the AUX input converter. The switch output connects to the stereo head unit.
Does this seem like a reasonable thing to do?
Any other ideas, besides a cassette adapter or fm modulator?
Thanks,
