Aux Cable brands

Im wanting to connect my phone's media database with my stereo via the aux port. My phone has a 2.5mm hole so i need a link to a 3.5mm port and an additional 3.5mm to 3.5mm. My question is does brand matter? Can I get any cheap cables?

As far as working, it doesnt matter. What you get when buying better cables is lack of external noises being injected into the cable (via onboard computers, etc.). Also a better built cable will also last longer, and will take abuse better (thicker jackets over the wire, thicker wire, etc.). So the cheaper cables will work, but you may have to replace them more often (nicks, hard bends, etc. will take out a cheaper cable). Good luck on your purchase.
