Anyone used a HL-8786GB-2 replacement Head

Poking around for a replacement head unit for use in my 2000 740iL which currently has a 4:3 display with phone, gps, cd and car computer.

There is the BMW 16:9 unit but just wondering if anyone has seen or used a HL-8786GB-2?

Cool, does it have the option for the OBC? I was wanting to save for this

I'm pretty sure they have one for the 7 series too.... but don't have any reviews on it. The one you are looking at looks better lol.

They say that its suitable for use with the E38 7 series, but the OBC doesn't get a mention from what I can find. From your original photos it looks like we have the same OEM stereo unit. You go first and let me know how it works out

I looked at the site that you have listed and the head looks like the most of the ones on alibaba.com.

I am also looking to replace my head unit. Just very cautious about sending money out of the states. If someone finds one that works great with an 740il please let me know.

I am not some much concerned about the money going out, but more the reliability and integration of the system with the rest of the electronics in these cars. If I do get one I'll definitely post an update on this thread.
