I was thinking of buying a used OEM changer from another seller here or on ebay but this is intriguing. Good price, $269 new with no shipping charge. Most interesting that it includes an auxiliary input for XM, mp3 players, ipods, etc. I know there are expensive switches from crutchfield, $69-79 or so, that allow this as well but this is pretty slick if built into the unit.

However, I do have some concerns. Is this a reputable seller? How does the AUX input work (ie how do you select it on the head unit)? What does "Alpine-based" really mean? I have emailed some of these questions to the seller and will keep you posted. Any insight on this seller, please share! Thanks!!!!!

autotoys has been around for a while... I bought a Pioneer head unit and 50-CD changer from them back in 1997 or 98... had no problems with them. They're legit.

anyways alpine based just means it speaks and acts like an alpine even though it may not have been made by alpine.

the aux maybe accessed by a certain key combination on the HU. I belvie its was like next disc then pervious disc rather quickly to get to the aux on one of their other units.

Thanks for the lead on the CD changer with RCA inputs. I recently installed my iPod in another vehicle and used the SIK Imp as the power and audio ouputs. It comes out as 1/8" phone jack which can be cable converted to RCA. ($30)

I am going to mount the iPod in the ash tray and run the cable back to the CD changer in the trunk.

for the great suggestion on the CD changer with RCA plug inputs.

suhweet! thanks to pre- and post- ibus issues, i am still working on mine.

anyways, how do you toggle between the AUX and the changer from the head unit? just curious!
