wats the deal? i have 8 new speakers for my e36 and 2 new 10's....can i get a sub that will power everything or will i need 2 seprate??? PLease respond soon i wana get my sounds up and running...
how much wattage on each amp? i have 2 10's that are 1100 watt each and lets jus say the speakers are all stock, what are watts and ohms i need on both?
If they are stock speakers then you'll probably blow them if you use much of an amp on them at all--I've read quite a few posts about guys who went aftermarket amp and popped the stock speakers within days.
1100 watt sounds high for a 10" sub. I was looking at CDT's specs for my new system and it's 400 watts RMS/800 watts peak for a 12" DVC sub from them.
My last system powered a sealed 12 with 300 watts. Once you cross 5-600 watts or so (for the entire system) you need to start thinking about your battery, capacitors, and alternator because they might not be able to supply the juice even if your amps are capable of taking it.
