I just bought a new m bus alpine six disc for my car. I have a 2001 325i coupe. I intstalled it with the correct convertor, and it seems like the player is not communicating with the factory head unit. The players works and has power to it. Can anyone help with my little problem. Thanks.

I just installed my alpine on my 528i e39 on Friday... Banged my head against a wall for a couple hrs... ghead

1st, make sure your wires from the CD changer to the convertor are going the "right" direction... Also, there may be a switch on the actual Changer to specify Ai-Net or M-Bus, typically 1 or 2 switch... I connected and reconnected for an hr, thinking thinking the adapters were bad... All i needed was a flip of a switch...

Hope this helps... Good luck...

Actually, I put the new convertor in and it work fine. I thinks some wires were not connected in the convertor. Pain in the butt to finally get it to work. Not as easy as everyone says it is.
