alpine 9831 into HK system - power + setting qn

Hi

Got my 9831 (pic in the sticky link at the top of the page) in now. Quick question - do i need to adjust the power output of the unit to avoid damaging the HK amp / crossover, or will it be ok?

I tried the PWR-IC off function (stopping power supply of head units amplifier - for use with an external amp) but no sound came out of the speakers (sounds ok with this function switched on).

Also, does anyone use the time correction or equalizer curve adjustment functions? Is it worth messing around with these?

Any thoughts appreciated!

I LOVE THE TIME CORRECTION.

Imaging is important to me, and I actually dont even use my rear speakers. The time correction centers the soundstage very nicely.
