Hi all

I'm looking for a new pair of headlights. I have an E36 with the stock headlamp (plastic covers).

I want to buy from Umnitza (probably the only one I know...) but man... I hardly understand what they sell lol...

Do you know if there's a FAQ for these products somewhere... Like

What is DDE / Xenon / HID, ... ?

The difference between what I got and "projector ?

What means the XXXXK color temperature?? etc...

So, I don't want to buy something only by looking at the picture lol... I like angel eyes and white lights (whiter possible), any suggestions? I was looking at the "DEPO Euro Ellipsoid w/DDE Lightning plus"

Any help or link will be appreciated

anyway...

projectors- they are lens which the light from the bulb is sent through that distributes the light evenly across the road.

DDE- kind of angel eyes, they are known to be some of the brightest (don't go LED angel eyes, from what i hear they are no good)

HID- High Intensity Discharge, means the lights are brighter, whiter, and give off more light

when buying headlights go with ZKW. and your on the right track with umnitza, they have good customer service and quality products. However, the DEPOs are made to signifigantly lower quality than the ZKW and when you buy headlights you dont want something that will break or fog easily.

they are expensive, but worth it, and you will definately turn some heads!

Above post is good advice. I have the headlights in the second link above, and bought them from umnitza. Good people, great product.

BTW, while the DDE is cool, I still can't get over how much better the ellipsoids are over the NA oem reflectors. It's truely amazing, and well worth the investment!
