Aftermarket Hu

With an aftermarket HU, if I disconnect battery will I still have to insert code, or would I lose the security system? Wasn't sure if it was built into stock HU?

As far as I know the "code" that the stock head unit is asking for is biult into the unit. If you don;t know the code "it" locks you out. If you have a aftermarket head unit you never have to worry about a code again. Well unless you reinstall the original hu.
