'97 Keyless Fob

I've got 2 fobs (2 button), and neither of them work. When I install the battery, the light is on constantly.

After having replaced a capacitor in my climate control computer with the help of this forum, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and found a fix. I'd like to avoid the $100 charge for a new one.

I've seen this happen on aftermarket alarms after 5-7 years. What happens to them is the button gets stuck internally. It gets stuck in the on position, hence the light being on. You may be able to take your remote apart and unsolder/solder another switch in its place. Take it to your local electronics parts house and see if they have anything that resembles the one you have. Its worth the 4-5 bucks for a switch to try, rather than the 100 dollar new one.
