I would have thought it would come with at least a cd player. I know some of these have the upgraded sound with the 6 disc changer in the trunk. Since this does not have it, are the wires still wired to the trunk to put one in? Thanks
they ahve OEM ones on crutchfield... and look at the right side of the trunk above where the battery is. i am almost positive that there is a hook up there... it is a round wire
So if i didnt want to connect a cd player i could connect my ipod right? Ive heard of people talking about that on here, just cant remember the product or where to buy it taht connects to the cd changer harness
Probably not a good idea. Check out a company called Blitzsafe. They make feakin adaptors for everything. However, I kind of doubt they make an adaptor to go from an oem cd changer din plug to a set of RCA's or better yet an 1/8 inch audio jack. And even if they did (highly doubtful). You would have to run a cable from there all the way to your dash so you could control it.
bottom line oem decks suck, yank it and go aftermarket
blitzsafe does have one for e39 that gives you RCA ins as well as changer hookup for a modern changer so they may have it for e36s HUs/changers... but quality would suffer after a run like that would as stated above.
My bad, dawg, most people i deal with dont easily part with +300 bucks for a deck, i forgot where i was for a second (BMW forums, not my store helping morons)!!
