Hi,
I bought a used car awhile back and the radio was working. Well a few weeks later it started cutting off and I'd hit a bump and it'd come back on. I though a wire was loose in my trunk and found some extra wires I assume went to the cd changer. After insulating all of those I tried it again and the radio still didn't work. Back to the trunk! I was looking behind thing trying to figure why my radio was shorting out and only occasionally came on. I think I found out why. Hidden behind the panel a whole series of wires cut and thrown back there. This is what I found on drivers side trunk panel. One group of wires seemed to be coming from the D/S wheel well 3 solid wires incased: Yellow, Black, and ground (no color, covers the other two insulated wires). Another group of wires, solid again: Red, Green, White, and ground (no color just covers the other insulated wires), another group of wires, HOT I might add, White/Yellow, Brown, Red/Green, Then there was a group of about 15 wires and one coax (I'm assuming this it from the radio and the coax is the antenna. The amp was connected properly, none of that was cut, but wires coming out of the amp to another harness...some were cut, (assuming this was to the sub that was removed). Anyone have a wiring diagrams of the trunk area, or maybe some advise as to what the wires mean. Any help is appriciated.
