1990 325i Radio Code - BMW Forum

ghead I have the code for the radio but don't know how to program it...........help please. I just bought this car and there are no manuals for it. I DO NOT want to take it to the BMW dealership if I can help it.

I replyed to your post in the other thread but i will say it herer too. Start the car, turn on the radio, wait for it to read CODE and input the code with the number buttons on the front of your stereo. Make sure to get it right the first time so it does not go into lockout mode. If that happens I am not sure of the correct way to fix it. Mine went into lockout and i just kept putting in the correct code everytime i got into the car. After about a week it worked for no other apparent reason. Others say that you can leave the car running for like 2 hours and it will reset itself, but i am not sure of this. I have also heard that if you unhook the battery and rehook it up it will reset the electronics(clock and such) and this might work too.

i also replied to your other thread, just put the code in it should beep after the last digit. If you really want to do it correctly then you have tp turn your key to accessory position for an hour and it should reset it self. if it goes into lockout mode then disconnect your battery for a while and hook it back up and it should be reset
