I don't have much to contribute other than to say I'm in the same position you are, looking for either a 325/328is or an M3. I also used to drive a Probe GT (same car as your MX-6) and I used to date a guy named Drew. Just thought the similarities were amusing.

I will say I've had great luck looking on Autotrader for these cars. I just put in a 200 mile search radius and I'm good to go. Cars.com might turn up a few responses for you, too.
