Question Remote Key lost charge - can't get in my car

Hi Everyone - I am new to the site but I promise you I searched the forums before my post. I have a 2003 745i and right now it is sitting in a Target parking lot because my one and only key lost it's charge. It doesn't have enough charge to unlock the doors or trunk so I had no way to get into my car last night.

Is there a way to charge my key just enough so it can unlock my door?

What options do I have to get in my car?

The key looks like it is sealed all around and does not look like you can open it and replace a battery. I tried to open it but stopped because I didn't want to mess around with my key.

Many thanks - I hope I have a car to drive today!

Faith

on the back of the rectangular key there is a traditional key which can be pulled out and inserted into the lock cylinder in the drivers door which will get you in to the car. maybe the vehicle battery is dead and this is why the key wont open the door remotely. If you cant get the car started once you get inside then call BMW roadside assistance.
