Hi Guys

First post need help 1984 635csi Automatic (4HP 22EH) friends car. Lost reverse and was slipping slightly in drive. I pulled the box and had it striped and built by a mate who is the king snake on auto boxes, he did a full overhaul but fond no fault with reverse. The boxes is back in and still no reverse until you un-plug the connector on the side of the box, then it will select reverse but with the trans light on. I think the reverse interlock solenoid is being powered but I don’t have any info to test this. Has anyone come across this fault???????? And has anyone got a wiring diagram????????????????????????????

Cheers

A couple of years ago I had major electrical problems with my E24 and got a wiring diagram online from( I believe) kcroncarter. E-mail him or call him and see if he still has the complete wiring diagram online his # is 816-587-1118.
His website is http://www.kcrealtime.com/
I believe his personal e-mail is kcroncarter@kc.rr.com I got a complete wiring diagram for my 633 from him. His one online is for a 635 and there isnt much difference.

Thanks for the link and as you say him email and phone number are everwhere on the site I have emailed him but no reply yet.
I had a chance to look futher into this Yeasterday and the ECU is holding the first gear shift solenoid open which dose reverse. I would like the info to test this further to see if an input is doing this, but will try an ECU anyway. I'll keep you posted.
